The short design "The Green Parasite" represents a solution approach for post-densification in large cities. In the London traffic area silicon Roundabout, a redensification is to be carried out without removing much building fabric. New commercial and residential areas can be created using various types of wooden modules. These are stacked like building blocks on top of suitable existing buildings.
For the redensification, both the roofs of the residential buildings, which are located directly on the silicon Roundabout, and entire building sections were removed. The respective modules are aligned with each other and stacked on top of each other floor by floor. The offsets in the facade are created by the different sizes and lengths of the modules. These are used as public arcades.
