In Burgsteinfurt, the Jewish School is to be repurposed in the historic city center. In former times it was used as an educational institution together with the adjacent High School. Today, however, it is being used transitionally as housing for people on income. The building as well as the surrounding area should be designed and revitalized.
The first floor is used as a public space. A café is operated there by students, which can also be visited by non-students. On the upper floor there is an apartment for the "artist in residence". This has a separate entrance independent of the café.
The attic floor was expanded and got an additional dormer, which consists of a steel structure with curtain metal plate for the facade design. This floor serves as a studio and exhibition space for the occupant.
